HELD BOUND 3
Diana’s
continuous silent treatment towards me was terrifying and killing.
More to her demeanor was the fact that at intervals she would let out
a loud sarcastic laugh to rile me up. But I was helpless. Our
honeymoon period had turned into a funeral. The next morning as I
woke up, I couldn’t find Diana anywhere around the house. This
increased my fears, and I thought of running away but had this deep
thought that it might just be one of her strange games to test my
resolve to stay with her. I decide to let her have her way. After
all, she has never hidden anything from me ever since we met. Her
sudden disappearance might just be her way of letting me know that
she was pissed off by
secrecy about my family back home. Perhaps she needed space to clear
her head and heal her heart of the hurts I caused her.
Three
months on Diana was yet to return and this worried me greatly. Am I
sure she’s actually human? Why did she decide to leave me in the
dark about her whereabouts? Then in the midst of my clouded thoughts
I got a call from an anonymous caller who told that my kids back home
were dead. They were killed by an unknown person and there were no
traces. Immediately I dropped the call in fear, and suddenly tears
filled my eyes with my head bowed in my hands. As I made way to the
living room to get a few of my belongings to go back home, I was left
with a shocker – Diana was right in the living room lying on the
bed. I froze in shock as she starred at me beaming with a cunning
smile. It was then I realized I had bargained for more than what I
could pay for and also I need to deal with the mystery killer of my
children. What would I do?
